view of the three neighbouring parishes on reaching
the summit. Other popular mountain climbs include An

Local History
The local landscape is studded with archaeological
remains and places of historical interest, including
the abandoned church in Dunlewey, pictured here. This
was a church of Ireland building put up by the landlord
of Dunlewey in the 1830's for the small protestant community
that worked in and around the estate.
